COURSE OVERVIEW
Workshop on the functioning of CEER and ACER
CEER is
committed to supporting its Members and Observers in their daily work.
As part of these efforts and following the continues demand of some NRAs to be introduced
to NRAs’ Public Engagement, the CEER Training Academy organises for a third year this internal workshop for CEER Members. It aims to share
information about CEER’s function, its activities, projects,
international cooperation, its Work Plan for 2025 and strategy,
as well as how to get more involved in CEER activities.

The workshop will start
with an introduction of CEER and ACER history to provide an overview
of their governing bodies, how they function, their missions, what
distinguishes them, and a general overview of important procedures.
Colleagues from CEER’s Secretariat will introduce the Secretariat itself and its role. They will explain how any NRA staff member can become an active member of CEER, why it matters and how this can be beneficial for NRA staff:
Colleagues from CEER’s Secretariat will introduce the Secretariat itself and its role. They will explain how any NRA staff member can become an active member of CEER, why it matters and how this can be beneficial for NRA staff:
- benefitting from training opportunities;
- possibility for advocacy at the EU level;
- access to international data;
- sharing experiences among NRAs;
- professional visibility for the NRA employee through speaking opportunities;
- networking opportunities;
- participation in international projects, often with remuneration and/or paid travel;
- NRA-specific questionnaires;
- access to the Legal Affairs Committee for individual European legal questions;
- information on EU legislative
developments relevant for NRAs, etc.
Participants will be asked to share their experience with CEER and point out expectations and suggestions for improving the cooperation with the Secretariat and among Members. Knowing better how CEER works, how to get more involved and how to become an active Member is essential to give voice to all NRAs when cooperating at the European level with other regulators, European Institutions and involved stakeholders.
